Recognition

IACS has developed a reputation for quality education across many industries and countries over more than 47 years of operation

We have put together the following information to help you understand the standing which we have attained and what it means for you.

Formal recognition can be complex issue particularly with literally thousands of awarding and certification bodies around the world; some operated by governments, others by industry or commercial organisations.

Often accreditation is designed to meet minimum standards, which may apply to just one aspect of education. Accreditation for example might be based on passing an exam at one point in time, but not on what is learned and retained for a long period of time.

With over 47 years in education, our ethos has not changed.

We believe the best indicators of our credibility are the quality of our staff, the success of our students, and the standing of  institutions we are affiliated with.

For ACS, credibility with employers takes precedence over accreditation with government recognition systems.

ACS has been established since 1979, and has established a high level of respect in academic circles within a range of disciplines in the UK, Australia and beyond. Staff include world renowned academics from several countries, and it maintains active partnerships with respected institutions in several countries including Ireland, Australia and Singapore. Many of these affiliates are formally recognised by government education authorities in their respective countries.

Articulation Arrangements

ACS has established articulation and partnerships with various other highly credible institutions. Through these formal arrangements graduates may obtain various types of formal recognition and accreditation for studies undertaken through ACS, and advance standing in selected courses at vocational or higher education levels that directly or indirectly are accredited through various industry or government bodies in a range of countries.

These articulation arrangements are varied from course to course and can be investigated in more specific detail by contacting the school.

Formal articulation or accreditation and recognition arrangements are always changing - as they do with other colleges and universities around the world. As with any credible institution though, we maintain high standards and in doing so, we have always maintained a high level of credibility with colleagues.

Will these courses help me secure employment?

Yes - they are developed with that in mind!

But employability is affected by many things ....  by what you learn through studies, life experiences and the development of core skills; rather than any qualifications.
