Advanced Certificate In Applied Management (Horticultural Technology)

Designed to train people for supervisory or managerial positions in a "specific" industry sector. Content is as follows:

*CORE STUDIES - 4 units of compulsory subjects for all students. This involves at least 400 hours.

*ELECTIVE STUDIES - stream units for the development of knowledge in a chosen specialisation or industry sector. This involves at least 300 hours of study.

*PROJECT - a "management in the workplace project" of 200 hrs involving approved work experience in a small business.The project specifically aims to provide the student with the opportunity to apply and integrate skills and knowledge developed through various areas of formal study.

This course is internationally accredited through I.A.R.C.

Certificate In Horticulture (Horticultural Technology)

A 600 hr accredited course that develops knowledge and skills in the application of modern technology to horticulture; with particular emphasis on hydroponics.The Core Units cover: Introduction to Plants, Plant Culture, Soils and Nutrition, Plant Identification and Use, Propagation & Pests, Diseases and Weeds.
This course is similar to other VHT002 horticulture certificates in its introductory (core) units, but devotes 50% of the course to topics specifically related to horticultural technology. Accredited through the International Accreditation & Recognition Council

Certificate In Hydroponics

This course provides an understanding of modern technology and its application to growing plants, with emphasis on hydroponic production.

Home Hydroponics

This is a good starting point for those who have little experience in horticulture or hydroponics; whose main interest is in growing AT HOME. Unlike our other courses, this course is NOT intended for commercial growing in any way. You will learn the theory behind hydroponic culture, as well as receive first hand practical experience as you set up your own basic hydroponic system.

Hydroponic Management (Hydroponics II)

Develop your capacity to make informed decisions regarding the management of commercially significant hydroponic crops. This course was developed to cover key issues which have been identified as recurrent problems for many experienced gowers.

Hydroponics I

Develop a sound understanding of the theory and practice of hydroponics. This is a serious grounding for working in the hydroponic industry and concentrates on the horticulturally valuable crops, such as cut flowers and vegetables.
Written and taught by leading international experts including John Mason, author of Commercial Hydroponics (now in it's 8th printing) and Dr Lyn Morgan, author and commercial hydroponic consultant.
