Hydroponics Courses

Designed to train people for supervisory or managerial positions in a "specific" industry sector. Content is as follows:

*CORE STUDIES - 4 units of compulsory subjects for all students. This involves at least 400 hours.

*ELECTIVE STUDIES - stream units for the development of knowledge in a chosen specialisation or industry sector. This involves at least 300 hours of study.

*PROJECT - a "management in the workplace project" of 200 hrs involving approved work experience in a small business.The project specifically aims to provide the student with the opportunity to apply and integrate skills and knowledge developed through various areas of formal study.

This course is internationally accredited through I.A.R.C.

A 600 hr accredited course that develops knowledge and skills in the application of modern technology to horticulture; with particular emphasis on hydroponics.The Core Units cover: Introduction to Plants, Plant Culture, Soils and Nutrition, Plant Identification and Use, Propagation & Pests, Diseases and Weeds.
 This course is similar to other VHT002 horticulture certificates in its introductory (core) units, but devotes 50% of the course to topics specifically related to horticultural technology. Accredited through the International Accreditation & Recognition Council

This course provides an understanding of modern technology and its application to growing plants, with emphasis on hydroponic production.

This is a good starting point for those who have little experience in horticulture or hydroponics; whose main interest is in growing AT HOME. Unlike our other courses, this course is NOT intended for commercial growing in any way. You will learn the theory behind hydroponic culture, as well as receive first hand practical experience as you set up your own basic hydroponic system.
