Legoland UK Uses ACS Principal's Photos

Legoland UK Uses ACS Principal's Photos

Principal John Mason was pleasantly surprised to find that some of his photos of fish were used (with credits) on the Atlantis Submarine Voyage ride at Legoland in the UK. So if you happen to be on the submarine ride anytime soon, keep a look out!

Student Feedback

Student Feedback
We constantly gather feedback from our students, which we use to improve our courses and student services.

The excerpt below is from a student feedback form from Robert Magill, a biologist who completed the Botany course.

*WAS THE COURSE A VALUABLE LEARNING EXPERIENCE FOR YOU? WHY?
Yes, the course was valuable. Although much of the material was covered during my undergraduate studies, I was required to do a sufficient amount of research on my end to complete the assignments. Through this process I feel I learned the material better than I did the first time around.

*DID THE COURSE MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS? PLEASE ADD COMMENTS.
I can't say expectations were met because I had no expectations going into the course. I believe this worked to my advantage because I was required to maintain an open mind throughout the duration of the exercises.

*DID YOU LIKE THE WAY THE COURSE WAS STRUCTURED (PRESENTED) ?

Yes. I feel the assignments built upon each other quite well. The necessity of the plant reviews continued to bring in not only the scientific aspects of botany but also the more practical knowledge that can be acquired, making the course that much more enjoyable.

*DID YOU RECEIVE GOOD FEEDBACK (e.g. comments on your work, answers to questions ) FROM YOUR TUTOR?

Yes. She not only provided me with information regarding where I had made errors but she also provided me with insights into how I could improve either my approach to answering the assignments or where I had missed some pertinent information.

* DID YOU RECEIVE GOOD SERVICE FROM SCHOOL ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF? Please add comments.

Administrative staff was very helpful and timely with all requests.

*HOW HAS THIS COURSE HELPED YOU FURTHER YOUR CAREER?
As a biologist I am looking to expand my knowledge base into ecological restoration. To date the information in this course relates well as supporting information to the restoration textbooks I am working through.

Although I have not presently capitalized on the course materials from a professional standpoint I foresee the knowledge gained from the course being very helpful in the future even if it is in a more subtle way than originally expected.
