RECENT STUDENT COMMENTS ABOUT ACS

Jenelle – Child Psychologychild psychology
“It has been a truly invaluable learning experience for me. I want you to know that I have learnt so much from all of your constructive input and guidance throughout each lesson of the course. You have helped me to understand where my strengths and weaker aspects lie, and what areas of my answers I need to pay attention to.
Thank you for getting my assignments back to me as promptly as you have, and thank you for making this course so enjoyable.”

Ronél – Alternative Farmingalternative farming
“I have never found the staff at any other learning institution as supportive as the staff at ACS. This gives one a lot of peace of mind and confidence to go on – at every squeak from my side, you guys have always been there immediately, to sort me out. The feedback on my lessons have always been really good and meaningful and an important source of my learning. Thanks!”

Lerini – Herb Culture
Thanks ACS, studying with you has been truly rewarding, because of your understanding, helpfulness and devotion to all students. I will certainly use the chance to study again with you!

Nhys – Freelance Writingfreelance writing
I’ve tried to do correspondence before, but have lost patience waiting for the snail mail, and extended periods for marking. The speed with which each assignment was handled (by ACS) using email was excellent, and I applaud you! I will start on Freelance Writing 2 with much enthusiasm.

WHAT OUR COURSES LOOK LIKE
http://www.acs.edu.au/courses/

FIRST, and STILL ONE OF THE BEST!
Horticulture I was the first course we developed, way back in 1979. Since then it has undergone countless upgrades and had input from over fifty experienced and qualified horticulture experts from more than a dozen countries. And it continues to be one of our most popular courses.

horticultureHorticulture I is one of the best starter courses for anyone serious about horticulture, either as a career or serious hobby. We still hear from people who studied this course years ago, and are now successful nurserymen, landscapers, garden contractors, or garden managers. Click here for course details.

STUDENT PROFILE
ACS Psychology student, Suzi Burke.

“I signed up for the Introduction to Psychology course because I had been considering studying Psychology at University, but I wanted to get an insight to what it's all about before I made the huge commitment of 8 years at University (part time).”

“This course was the best thing I could've done for myself.  It helped me to understand what psychology is all about and to understand what I'm in for when I go to Uni!!! Even though it wasn't necessarily used as a formal pre-requisite towards my University Degree, it's been a great peace of mind for me to understand what Psychology involves and applying for University wasn't as scary as it could have been!”

“I would recommend this to anyone thinking about furthering their education or even using it as a stepping stone - like I did.”

WE CAN HELP YOU!
We think ACS is different to other Colleges.

“Students come first!”
We do our best to make study easier and more rewarding. Tutors and administration staff can be easily contacted, and will promptly respond to your questions and queries.

We focus 100% on your learning
We put the long-term educational and/or career benefits for the student before all else. And since learning is about a whole educational experience - not just about course notes - we support your learning with a range of services (including an online student room, and a careers website).

We put most of your fees towards services
Unlike many other schools, we direct most of our students’ fees to improve student services and learning. Things such as advertising, accreditation, and satisfying bureaucratic processes are not directly related to learning, but can absorb most of a school’s income, and some schools have little left for improving services or improving education for students.

We revise and update courses more often than most other colleges

Our academic staff are active in their respective fields, and keep abreast of developments, using that knowledge to update courses as needed. We practice continuous monitoring and updating of courses, and we take student feedback seriously, as part of our commitment to excellence.

We have designed courses to be globally relevant

It is our experience that education with a global perspective gives graduates an advantage over graduates from courses that are geared to a regional or national framework.

We listen

We are always looking for new ideas to improve services and develop new courses that are needed. We need you to tell us what your priorities and education and service needs are. To do this, please follow the link to the questionnaire below. You will automatically go into a draw for an autographed book by ACS Principal, author John Mason. There are three books to be won… and better yet, winners get to choose from a range of John Mason books.
